Peaceful........

I have had a little break from blogging and feel really revitalised and my muse really needed a holiday......I have been enjoying the sunshine but that was short lived..oh the british summertime eh? Matthew fractured his wrist 2 weeks ago but he is doing well and is now sporting a nice blue cast after having a new one put on. I decided to to get my soldering items out and kick start my creativity whilst listening to my ipod ( and the oh so amazing Mr Jim Morrison.....oh if you didnt know I am a huge Doors Fan) and creating bottle art and have the lovely smell of beeswax in my studio....and believe me it smells oh so wonderful. I love the image of this little girl I have so many great images sometimes its really hard to decide which one to pick. Well I have so many blogs/emails to catch up on.........

Where does the time go........

Where does the time go........ I have been having fun messing about in photoshop and just generally playing around which has been great, I have some new projects to work on and also last week finished the last book in the Twilight saga which was a fantastic read. Currently working on some Art Bottles my new addiction and also a canvas Shrine for a project over at Paperwhimsy.

I have spent this evening playing with my Melt Pot and Soldering Iron.........I recieved my mesh and wax today so couldnt wait to get creating. The wax smells so lovely. Both bottles availble in my Artfire Shop. Thanks for stopping by.

Not All Who Wander Are Lost....

Today I have been creating this canvas, It really wasnt what I expected to turn out but I am pleased with the results. I really do love this quote....and the image is also a favourite of mine and yes I know I always say that......The size of this deep edged canvas is 5"x5". I could not believe my eyes this morning when a copy of Artful Blogging came through the letterbox..........I was very intrigued..... and so excited to see my first ever piece of Art Published.

My ATCs were published that I offered in the OWOH giveaway you can see these here . I also had my blog header featured in the magazine, Thankyou so much Artful Blogging.

I am involved in a Rolodex Card Project over at PaperWhimsy, How much fun I am having creating with these cards, there are some amazing pieces already being posted to the group. Update:

If you know me well you will be aware I have been suffering with my Back and Leg since last May. I saw my specialist on Tuesday and after me pouring my heart out he explained to me what is causing the pain in my Leg and the only way to cure the problem is by having surgery on my back....I have to have another MRI scan again which I am dreading..but needs must so if it is a little quiet here........

I have been busy working on some great projects over at PaperWhimsy - A Tussie Mussie(above WIP) project and a Rolodex card swap I am having great fun with these. Its half term here so I have been busy trying to keep Matthew entertained which has been so great he is growing up so quickly. Thanks for stopping by here.

I missed you..........

Well it has been so quiet over here at Whimsy Dreams hasnt it?..........so whilst I have had my nose into Eclispe for most of the time, I have been creating aswell I am so excited to share that I sold my very first pieces of Art over at ebay last week. What a great feeling that is....for me anyway. I have been lucky enough to take some wonderful workshops with JoAnna Pierotti from MossHill Studio....amazing workshops and JoAnna is such a great teacher so you must head over if you havent already.

I was recently involved in an amazing project over at PaperWhimsy hosted by the wonderful Gale Blair.

It is January 3, 1776, and Marie Antoinette, now the Dauphine of France, is soon to be on holiday in Nice. She plans to celebrate Le Carnaval and had commissioned her finest couturières to come up with an amazing masque and ventilateur in order to hide her identity. But, alas! The royal couturières have not come up with a design that pleases Her Majesty.It is now up to you... My dear Artistes Extraordinaire... to create the most magnificent, indeed, the most splendid mask and fan befitting The Dauphine of France...

I had so much fun with this project it was hard to decide a colour to chose but well it had to be pink for me......

Paper Whimsy Valentine swap

This is my Fabric piece (5" x 7") for the Valentine Swap over at PaperWhimsy. I have not really used fabric in my work much before, so this was quite a challenge for me. This is all hand sewn as I do not own a sewing machine, This will be on its way to Cat. I love this image another of my favourites....... its actually paper sewn to the fabric.

Lots of projects going on

I am involved in a swap over at PaperWhimsy to create 9, 1.5" x 1.5" squares, I had so much fun with these.

These are my finished ornaments for PaperWhimsy, I am in Silver and Blue Swap I had so much fun with these.....everywhere I went in the house last night were traces of glitter. I am so looking forward to receiving all my ornaments.

Last week I spent a few days in hopsital, still suffering with my back/leg but doing ok. I have been busy the last few days creating, creating, creating. Lots of photos to show and my Flat Whimsy Sarah arrived back today with loads of goodies.....so will get to show them ASAP.

CREATIVE WEDNESDAY

This weeks theme over at Creative Wednesday is Windows Hereis my creation made after seeing these awesome Chunky ATCs from Audrey Hernadez made from wood...unfortunately for me I had no wood to hand last night so mine is made from card......I love how it turned out. Image from PaperWhimsy.

My dad gave me his old pocket watch after much pleading with him, and I have been having a play around with PaperWhimsy College Sheets and also PW Digi sheets.

I finally managed to have a play around with Petites Fées Gothique - Petite Gothique Faerie paper dolls. Oh I love them so much these dolls were inspired by a dress I made for the Bibbity Bobbity Ball over at PaperWhimsy, you can see the dress here .

We are all settled into our new home, and it is wonderful. I especially Love having my own space to create in how wonderful. I am doing ok and thank you for all the lovely well wishes and emails it means so much.

For those who know me I have been suffering with my back for the last 5 months and on tuesday I am having a root nerve injection for the pain and then on Friday we are moving house, which I am so excited about..even better is the thought that I will be gaining my own studio........so I hope to see you all soon when I am settled.

New Art and Digi Sheets from Paper Whimsy

The first piece I have created is a Canvas size is 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" Images all by Paper Whimsy, the background is created using Acrylic paint and Distress Inks. The blue Dresden was a gift from my friend Patti and its gorgeous. Second is a card(4" x 4") made from Acetate and all images are PW including some of the new digi sheets. Lastly an ATC. Thanks for looking. I am in the middle of soldering so will post the completed item later.

Skinny Saturday - Skinny Shadow Box

This is the Challenge over at Skinny Saturday this week, I was recently involved in a swap involving a Shadow box. That is were the inspiration for this weeks challenge is from. This little box is 3" x 5" and is made from mountboard covered in Blue Acrylic Paint, White gesso and distress Inks in Tea Dye.

Bracelet

Solder your Art Out...........

I recently began to learn to solder and created this ring for myself really pleased with how it turned out its 3/4" x 3/4", image is PaperWhimsy. Soldered the square and then bent some wire and soldered this.

I have been having so much fun with my soldering Iron...I created this pendant which is 2" x 2". A great size to work with. Collage Art Work elements from Sally Jean, Image of little girl is from Paper Whimsy another of my favourites at the moment. Adorable eh? attached this to some jump rings and a little wire piece attached to silver chain.

And another........Little 3d House WIP

Here is another little House a WIP...The size of this is 1 1/2" x 2". And is so sweet I can tell you. House is painted in Acrylic paint with Distress Inks rubbed over it and using a scratch tool...I love the look. Still need to add a few more images etc.....

A 3D House........ 123 Whimsy Dream Lane......

If you know me you know I love skinnies especially the size 3" x 5" so I created a little 3D house inspired by my Friend Marg in Australia. I have used Acrylic Paints from Ranger in Cloudy Blue and snow Cap. House is constructed from Mount Board, Image is from PaperWhimsy.

Soldering Fun

Yesterday I met up with my friend Helen and she was showing me how to make jewellery, we had loads of fun this is the necklace she made for me and I did one of the beads as she let me have a little play. The soldered piece I made I have attached to the necklace i think its just gorgeous.
